11:00 am Service

We are meeting for worship tomorrow, but the service will not start until 11:00 am. The Newcomers Lunch has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
According to APCO’s website, there are still almost 17,000 Henry County residents without electricity. I just sent out an email to the members of our CC family, but I’m sure quite a few of them have been affected by the power outage and won’t have access to email.
If you know someone who still doesn’t have power or a way to heat their home, please contact me. We have a number of CC folks who are willing to open their home so people will have a warm place to stay until their power is restored.

Wintry Weather Weekend Round 2
02/04/10 10:00 AM
Get ready for wintry weather weekend round two! I’ve heard weather reports calling for everything between two inches to two feet!
But in light of the icy forecast, this Saturday's CLOTHING CLOSET has been cancelled. If you know of a volunteer who does not have email, would you please give them a quick call - thanks!
As far as our Sunday services go, the elders will be making a decision on Saturday. We are considering the possibility of moving our service to 2:00 pm Sunday afternoon to keep from having to cancel two weekends in a row. But it will simply depend on the amount of snow/sleet/freezing rain and ice that we end up receiving on Friday and Saturday.
I realize that we have a FEW people like me who actually look for excuses to get out and play... I mean, "drive" whenever it snows. And we probably have a FEW other people like my wonderful wife who doesn't believe in getting anywhere near a moving vehicle in the event of a heavy frost. Most of you are probably somewhere in between.
So, while I hope we are able to meet this Sunday, we'll wait to see what the weather does and then we'll make a decision accordingly, intentionally erring on the side of caution and safety.
